Who We Serve

Many-Hands is a volunteer driven community outreach ministry Sumter County Area

We serve those in need in our local community such as seniors on fixed incomes, single  parent households, lower income families, widows, the disabled and other at risk individuals. All applications will be reviewed for eligibility based on the Federal Poverty Level Financial Guidelines, with situational considerations. We limit our assistance to minor repairs, referring anything beyond the skills of our volunteers to local business partners, doing our best to negotiate a discount for the client. Volunteer labor is always free; clients are asked to cover the costs of parts or materials. If a client is unable to do so they may apply for our “Hardship Program” and choose to participate in our “pay it forward” reimbursement plan.

If the repair exceeds the skills of any of our volunteers and the client chooses to hire one of our cooperating business partners then the client must pay 50% of the quoted repair fee at the time of repair, the balance may be repaid through our reimbursement program.

We have a simple application process, and once you contact us we will review your needs and see if you and the repair fall within our qualification guidelines, then proceed to match you with the right volunteer!
